ABOUT US

Complex challenges require coordinated global, national and local responses. Unstable political contexts, pandemics, cyberattacks, and extreme weather events have become daily events. To help mitigate the effects of these challenges, the NoCoU network will increase participation of Norwegian security actors and stakeholders in Horizon Europe applications and projects covering Civil Security. 

By creating a vibrant and dynamic Norwegian network (NoCoU) for societal security, safety, and resilience as a trans-disciplinary arena for collaboration, participants will share knowledge, promote Norwegian solutions at the European level and adapt European results to national needs. The network will promote knowledge through innovative approaches and experiences with the preparation of project proposals and ongoing projects across Norway focusing on opportunities and benefits that Horizon Europe offers for all relevant sectors (academia, public authorities, industry, NGOs, CSOs). 

Network partners have been carefully selected based on their documented track record in European research and national participation. The consortium brings together organizations across Norway and benefits from their existing local, national and international networks and expertise. The consortium will be supported by regional teams (public sector, authorities, first/second responders, NGOs, industry and academia) and an advisory board that collaborates in project activities. 

The consortium at the NoCoU kick-off in January 2025.
